This Chicken 'n' Rice Skillet is a one-dish wonder that only uses 5 ingredients... what could be easier?

What You'll Need

  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 (10-3/4-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 (6-ounce) package uncooked quick-cooking long-grain and wild rice mix (including seasoning packet)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 4 skinned and boned chicken breasts

What to Do

  1. Combine milk, soup, rice mix, and seasoning packet; set aside.

  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken, and cook 5 minutes on each side. Pour rice mixture over chicken; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 12 minutes or until chicken is done and liquid is absorbed.

Notes

For a quick side salad, purchase a bag of gourmet salad mix, toss in a few cherry tomato halves for color, drizzle with your favorite Italian dressing, and- voila- dinner is served!

for pwesleyrp 5805366 for your gluten free use Progresso's cr of mushroom that is now gluten free and you are back to being easy

This is sort of my go to recipe. Only i cook the rice first, add brocolli, sauted mushrooms, onions, and cheese, and when I need to make it gluten free, instead of mushroom soup, I make a cornstarch based white sauce and add lots of any kind of cheese. and i cut up the chicken into bite size pieces. Oops, guess this isn't a simple recipe anymore, but really works for my family

TEXICANIZE this, pork and beef cries 4 this: onion soup mix, chopped onion, garlic & japs, cut thin pork or beef steaks, depending on TEXICAN U want small or med size(hot ot mild) of ROTEL, tortillas, cold bier!!!!!! KICK IT!!!!!!!!!!!
