  • 6 chicken thighs with skin
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1/4 cup grated Romano cheese

What to Do

  1. In a soup pot over medium heat, heat oil just until smoking.
  2. Saute chicken thighs, skin side down, 5 minutes. Turn over and saute 5 more minutes. Remove chicken from pot and set aside.

  4. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and serve with chicken and sauce. Sprinkle with Romano cheese.
