Tuna Tarts

Eat these right out of the oven for a quick dinner, or serve them at room temperature with a side of fruit salad for the ladies' luncheon.

What You'll Need

  • 2 (6-ounce) cans tuna, drained and flaked
  • 3/4 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (7½-ounce) package refrigerated biscuits (10 biscuits)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

What to Do

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the tuna, peanuts, cream cheese, mayonnaise, mustard, and garlic powder; mix well.

  2. Flour a work surface and a rolling pin, then roll out each biscuit to a 5-inch circle. Line 10 muffin cups with the flattened biscuits, forming crusts.

  3. Fill the crusts equally with the tuna mixture and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crusts are golden. Serve warm.

    Makes about 10 tarts.

This can also be made with canned chunk chicken and pecans or other types of nuts.
