Cranberry Mulled Wine
- MAKES
- 3 1/2 cups
- COOK TIME
- 10 Min
Some versions of mulled wine simmer for a long time to develop the taste. My variation is speedy and still has plenty of flavor that everyone will love. If youngsters are around, make them a batch of this toasty beverage without the wine.
What You'll Need
- 2 cups cranberry juice cocktail
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 3 whole cloves
- 3 whole allspice
- 1 1/2 cups dry red wine
What to Do
- Combine first 4 ingredients in a saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Discard whole spices. Stir in wine. Serve warm, and garnish, if desired, with cinnamon sticks.
