We haven't met a fudge we didn't love, especially this one! This homemade fudge recipe is wonderful for bringing gifts to friends or neighbors for the holidays... or just any ol' time of the year!

What You'll Need

  • 1 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1 (10-ounce) package peanut butter chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

What to Do

  1. Bring first 3 ingredients to boil in large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, 5 minutes; remove from heat.

  2. Add marshmallows and remaining ingredients to pan; stir until smooth. Pour into greased 9-inch square pan; cool. Cut into squares.

Notes

No candy thermometer needed to make this fast, flavorful fudge!

I don't know what the exchange amount would be to use peanut butter, but keep in mind it doesn't have the same cosistency as the peanut butter baking chips do. The consitency of the finished product will be affected/different. If this fudge is fairly firm, it should be ok but not if it's already soft to begin with. I am going to try this recipe, using 1 cup of peanut butter (I'm using creamy) instead of the peanut butter baking chips. I'm optimistic it will be wonderful!

How much peanut butter would you use instead of chips.

I might use 1/2 the amount of peanut butter chips, and the rest of the 10 oz. in chocolate bits. Sort of reminds me of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. YUM!!

My boyfriend loved it and ate all of it. lol

Don't have all the ingredients? On the back of Kraft Marshmallow Creme jars is the "Fantasy Fudge" recipe. I use it constantly, and, to make peanut butter fudge, just exchange the chocolate chips for about a cup to a cup and a half (depending on taste) of peanut butter (creamy or chunky), and follow the recipe. Only thing, since I'm above 3500 feet, I do use a thermometer as the fudge doesn't need to cook as long.

It firms up really fast, is it not suppose to cantain butter also? I made it with chocolate chips and a mixture of nuts and would give it 5 stars

First fudge recipe that I have tried that did not turn out. Did they leave out an ingredient?

when cool...top with melted semi sweet chocolate bits..spread smootly then cool completely...wa big hit at Thanksgiving...I used extra chucnky peanut butter and it was great.
