Do you fondue? We do! Our recipe for Swiss Fondue Chicken is full of cheesy smothered goodness that pairs perfectly with the apple slices and to-die-for sauce. This chicken recipe is soon to be your family's new favorite dinner dish.

What You'll Need

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 (10-3/4-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/3 cup apple juice
  • 1 cup dry herb-seasoned stuffing mix
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9- x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Sprinkle chicken evenly on both sides with salt and pepper; place in prepared baking dish. Top evenly with apple slices and place a slice of cheese over each chicken breast.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine soup and apple juice. Pour over chicken, then sprinkle with stuffing mix. Drizzle butter over top.
  4. Bake 30 to 35 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink in center.

Notes

  • For a change of pace, we have also tried this with cream of mushroom soup and it's equally as tasty!

  • Serve this up with a side of our Classic Carrots for a meal which is as pretty as it is tasty!

The chicken was very moist and the dish had a lot of flavor. Next time I will use cheddar cheese for a change. I used apple sauce mixed into mushroom soup as I did not have apple juice.

was the so moist and great flavor!

Every Thursday is my cookin night and like to try different but simple dishes, and this was great. I added garlic bread, and my wife would like next time I try it with pepper jack cheese so maybe that would Cajun Fondue Chicken

My Family Loves this basic receipe but I keep adding and changing it to experiment. This time I nestled the chicken on a bed of pre cooked brown rice pilaf (like Rice a Roni) , mixed with 2 egg yolks, and upped the apple juice by 1/4 cup--same SWISS CHEESE and a home made day old crusty french bed crumb topping over the soup combo. Baked all 12 min longer Not bad, either. The original is still the Best, but lends itself to many variations. THANKS!

5 stars! I also tried it with Mozzarella/guerye cheese chicken/mushroom soup (Campbells makes that combo)-- needed to bake about 10 minutes longer for 5 breast pieces in a 9x13 pan. I also aded pine nuts dried cranberries to the stuffing/butter mix topping. Surprisingly good!

Clever Quick w/Marvelous flavors--SOooo Easy to prepare, but we baked it for about 10 add'l minutes to get chicken fully cooked. 5 Stars!

Herb Crusted Lamb with Mint Sauce

Instead of cooking ham or prime rib for Easter, why not try something new this year? Our Herb-Crusted Lamb with Mint Sauce may look and sound fancy, but it's really easy to do. It's basically a rack of lamb that's coated with herbs and spices before it's roasted to perfection. Just before serving, it's finished off with a mint-wine reduction. The end result is an Easter-worthy main dish that'll impress everyone at the table.
