Our Reuben has gone topless! These new sliders are the perfect hand-held recipe any night of the week.

  • 8 ounces sliced corned beef
  • 1/4 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese, cut in half

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Place bread slices on baking sheet. Top bread with equal amounts of drained sauerkraut and then corned beef. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes or until heated through.

Yum! These look delicious and I'm sure I could polish off a batch of these by myself. I do think I'd use the Bavarian-style sauerkraut since that style includes caraway seeds, and I like having those to give a hint of a rye bread flavor. Has anyone tried using a large rye bread cut into smaller pieces instead of the French bread? Our Kroger carries a nice large square rye bread and I thought about using slices of those cut in half for this.

Classic Reuben uses Russian Dressing... MUCH better than 1000 Island!

Fruit Medley Cream Pie

When there is plenty of fresh fruit around, we love to bake up our Fruit Medley Pie. It's almost like a fruit salad that sits atop a creamy custard filling. You'll have a hard time resisting a pie this colorful and fresh!
