Who doesn't love reaching into a bag of chips? Our Barbecue Chip Chicken takes advantage of this novel breading idea that's sure to add irresistible crunch and tangy flavor to juicy baked chicken breasts.

What You'll Need:
  • 1/2 cup ranch salad dressing
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 (6-ounce) bag barbecue-flavored potato chips, crushed
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (1 to 1-1/2 pounds)
What To Do:
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Coat a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine dressing, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper; mix well. Place crushed potato chips in another shallow dish. Dip chicken into dressing mixture then into crushed potato chips, coating completely; place on prepared baking sheet.
  3. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink.
  • Before dipping, you may want to cut the chicken into long strips to form chicken fingers. If you'd like, serve with additional ranch dressing for dipping.
  • Coated chicken, anyone?? We'd like to recommend our Nice Crust Chicken for another tasty option!

We tried this and liked it. I have made it a couple of times. My husband who doesn't even like chicken likes this.

i have have never tried it w bbq chips Rachel Ray has a simliar recipe using sour cream and onion. i can't wait to try this recipe!!

Question: can you use chicken wings/drummettes instead of chicken strips and if so how long do you cook in oven? My husband loves chicken wings (as well as the kids) and sounds like a perfect item to snack on when were outside playing. Love this site, have used many recipes from here

Tried it twice. We had to because we couldn't believe how good it was the first time. The combination of all the flavors work together and none overpowers the other. I do not care for white meat but I have no problem saying that, "oooh, it was so good!" Thanks Mr. Food!

We tried it and it was good and juicy. We substituted ranch dressing with creamy italian.

My husband just made this for dinner. It was truly a hit in our home tonight. It was full of flavor, but different than most chicken dishes. We will defintely try this again.

I'm thinking the ranch dressing would taste better with a dash of curry powder. How much is up to you.
