I prefer Miracle Whip and REAL onions!!

I prefer real onions too, but sometimes I will make different recipes with different ingredients to change things up a bit. Boring if you eat foods like only one type potato salad, one type chicken, one type pork chops etc. You get the idea. Live a little and change things up a bit from time to time.

YES, Only real onions here too! I just turned 68, a real oldie now, but as long as I can remember, my parents only used "Miracle Whip" and that is what I've continued to use my whole life. Husband's family were Mayo lovers but I was able to immediately convert him to Miracle Whip! He noticed the tasty improved flavor especially in egg salad and devilled eggs! Yum!

It was bit bland for our taste. Creamy, and colorful on the table. Perfect for those who don't want onions, etc.

I love a creamy potato salad. I remember going to family reunions in the summer when I was a child, and my aunt made the best potato salad. I think she used sour cream and mayo. I will definitely make this salad for Memorial Day weekend and again for 4th of July. This salad will be awesome with grilled chicken and corn on the cob!

What has happened to the print option? Nothing will print...it won't switch to the print screen.

Hi there, jlbfood. Can you let us know what exactly is happening when you try to print a recipe? Feel free to send us a message on Facebook (Mr. Food Test Kitchen) if it's easier for you to communicate that way. Thanks!

This has been my recipe for potato salad for many years and everyone loves it and requests it at family and party functions. The only thing different that I do is add some miracle whip and mustard to the sour cream and mayo. five star rating

why not replace the mayo with the same amount of Miracle Whip?

To each their own (flavor), I guess! I use dry mustard (powder) instead of mustard in the jar as I like the dry mustard flavor better.
