do you have to cook fresh apples for apple bundles? if you do how do you do it

Just wanted to know how to cook apples?

what is the recipe for the featured apple dessert?

I believe the picture you are referring to is an Apple Dumpling.

what is the name of the apple dessert in the featured picture?

I have about 5 large Granny Smith apples that aren't worth eating....bought them that way. Are there any suggestions of what I could make out of them? I love Granny Smith apples but these are soft and tasteless. Thanks!

i am looking for a fryed apple recipe

I saute them; maybe this will work for you, too. Select one good-sized apple per person, and start a skillet (I use cast iron) over low heat, adding about 1 teaspoon butter for each apple. Start on the apples, cutting each into 12 wedges, removing core part from each wedge. Add the apples to the skillet as you finish each one so they don't turn brown. Once you get them all in there (a 10" skillet will cook about 4 apples) turn the heat up to medium, and cook gently until almost tender. Add more butter if you need to, then add about 1 teaspoon per apple brown sugar plus a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice or whatever combination of spices you prefer. Turn heat down and stir gently until the apples are nicely glazed. I adjust the sugar/butter/seasonings until they are like I want them to be. Goes great with fall pork and chicken dishes.

I'm looking for a simple stewed apple recipe Please
